parrrrrrrr-tayyyyyyyyyyyy!!!
It's 8:54am and I have the sudden urge to write.
I don't have anything in particular to write about, but the school is quiet, the air is crisp, and everything feels calm.
There's something about the mornings I really like... especially the early morning, when everyone else is still asleep.
It's obviously not early morning right now, but it kinda feels that way.
Hmmm... what can I ramble on about right now?
See, that's my problem, I'm always in the mood to write, but never have anything to write about.
Wait!
That's something I can write about... the word "write."
Because, technically speaking, I'm not writing, I'm typing.
Wow, in that previous sentence, I just named 3 different types of communication.
Oh my God, what am I talking about right now?
(or rather, what am i typing about right now?)
Pull yourself together, Jane!!!
Yesterday, I read a article in the NY Times about quinceaƱeras and it got me thinking.
Latinas have quinceaƱeras for their 15th bday.
Filipinos have cotillions for thier 18th day.
Americans have their sweet-16s.
And what do Koreans have?
A grand celebration on their 60th bday!
What's up with that?
It's like, 'whoo hoo, i'm still alive! let's boogie!"
Why don't Koreans have some cool coming of age party?
Oh, but let's not forget the 100th day party!
That's right, we krazy Koreanz celebrate the 100th day of life, too.
We have 2 parties!
That's right TWO!
One, TWO!
100th day and 60 years.
We sure know how to party it up!
puhahahahahahhahahahhahahhahahaha!!!
Anyhoo.
Have a lovely weekend, all.
